I don't I've killed a fly in a month because I can't stand to kill anything alive, but my parents won't even let me go vegetarian. What should I do until I can go vegan to help with the whole "animal rights" cause? Seriously, I love animals, and no animal that did nothing wrong should be hurt like this.
Hi there! What a difficult situation. I wish parents be more open minded about everything. I mean my mom has osteoporosis, I have shown here everything about dairy but she keeps drinking milk because “calcium”, if she could only understand that she is killing herself :(
Many parents will give a hard time, not only with veganism, with everything. They are still living in the past. I would say try to communicate better with them, show them videos like Food Matters which has nothing to do with animals but health, that way they see is serious, not a fad. If you have tried everything already, just be patient. Try to avoid the products that you can but don’t starve yourself, that’s not good.
Many people are not able to go vegan at the moment, many of those people are teens, younger people that have the power to change the world, yet here we all are, struggling with our parents because they think we are crazy, that we are following fads (I know some do) but Yisus, I wish people could see how important veganism is, mostly parents, because we are inheriting a sick planet from them.
